DAY 110: Covid Business Boost: Maine Housing: Building Safety, One Home at a Time.

Day 110: Maine Housing: Aug 2nd
Non Profit Sunday
Covid has had a profound impact on many business owners & their employees.
Job insecurity & housing insecurity quickly become a tangled web that can take people down.

I've known people on the brink of homelessness, co-workers who have been temporarily homeless & friends struggling to find an affordable places to live.
Chances are good, people who you know, have had these struggles.

As community member, I've joined the South Portland Affordable Housing Committee to be part of the solution.
As a realtor, people often reach out to me asking about affordable rentals & assisting them with buying inexpensive homes.

Before Covid
9% of Maine homeowners faced housing insecurity.
24% of Maine renters faced housing insecurity.
There's a slow moving tsunami coming of housing insecurity & people who will be experiencing homelessness.

My boost for today is for MaineHousing
They are the experts!
They can connect you with resources.
They know where the safety nets are.

If you know people who are currently struggling to stay afloat, have them reach out to learn about options. www.mainehousing.org
